Build the Habits of Good Attendance Early

Missing more than 15 days of school can make it harder to learn to read and develop good fluency. Students can fall behind if they miss just a day or two days every few weeks. Being tardy frequently leaves students out of important morning class routines.  Try and develop a backup plan with family and neighbors if you need help getting your child to school.

Friday Family Lunch is a tradition unique to Westgate.  Families are invited to school every Friday to have lunch with their child in our outdoor courtyard or with other families across from the cafeteria.

E-Bike Safety

Safety Starts with Me Update: More students are riding e-bikes and e-scooters, increasing the number of riders on the road and on the way to school. While these devices are fun and convenient, they move fast and require extra caution.
